51 After he put every male to the sword, razed the town to the ground, and plundered it, he marched through it over the bodies of the dead.
52 Then they crossed the Jordan into the extensive plain[a] opposite Beth-shan. 53 Judas continued to rally the stragglers and to encourage the people throughout the journey until they reached the land of Judah.
